The Biggest Project Yet: Rebuilding a 68-Page Website

This fall I took on the largest project of my career so far: a full overhaul of a 68-page website for a local nonprofit. Auditing every page. Fixing the structure. Refreshing content and photos, checking every link and form — and doing a good share of it in the evenings, on my own time, because I wanted it done right.

A project that size looks impossible until you break it down. My whole method was: make the list, then work the list — page by page, section by section.

Two lessons I’d pass on. First, big work is just small work in a row. Second, write down where you started — the page count, the problems, the before picture — so when someone asks what you actually did, you can show them.
